There will be a JAI lecture Thursday 19th January at 4.15pm,
Fisher room, Denys Wilkinson Building, Keble Road, Oxford.

Dr Steffen Doebert (CERN)
"High average current photo injector (PHIN) for the CLIC Test Facility at CERN"

Abstract:
The PHIN photo injector at CERN was built in collaboration between LAL, RAL, INFN and CERN within the framework of the European Care program. The injector has been installed and fully commissioned at CERN. It was demonstrated that this injector can deliver a 1.3 ms long bunch train with almost 2000 bunches of 2.3 nC corresponding to 4.5 mC of total charge per pulse. Extensive studies on the current stability, emittance and energy spread along the pulse have been performed. The seminar will introduce the photo injector with respect to the CTF3 and CLIC requirements and will report on the results obtained during commissioning.
