Hi Alison, If the operator scans the IQC and proceeds to test anything else e.g the wrong level of QC or a patient sample then you will see these results as flagged IQC results on Precision Web. It may be worth checking out the frequency of these errors and if it is the same operator as an additional bit of training may be required. Elaine A. We have seen approximately 20 results over the last 18 months or so that are between 5 and 9 mmol/l that are tagged as either high and low level QC's. Range for low QC is approximately 1.8 - 3mmol/l and high QC approximately 12 - 20 mmol/l. There are also around 20 results that are much lower than the low QC range, below 0.5 mmol/l, or much higher than the high QC range, 22 - 34 mmol/l. Would be interested to hear from anyone else who has seen similar results.
