Dear All,

Following on from Becky’s e-mail, I just wanted to let you all know that we are developing a new Sports section on the Future Morph website (www.futuremorph.org) that you will be able to use and link to, to back up any resources that you are producing for the Olympics with careers messages and information.

The sports section will include feature articles including ‘Sport in the news’ and ‘Behind the Olympics’, as well as career profiles from various athletes at different stages of their careers and an interactive game.

This section is due to launch by May next year so please look out for it, or alternatively, if you would like to work with us to develop new content for this section please get in touch.

Best wishes,

Holly.

Subject: [PSCI-COM] Info to support the development of engagement projects in London 2012

Dear All

*Apologies for Cross Posting*

This link: http://www.graphicscience.co.uk/files/support_for_engagement_during_London_2012.pdf will take you to a document which contains some information that may be of use to any individuals or organisations looking to develop public engagement projects during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.

Graphic Science was commissioned by the Wellcome Trust to conduct a piece of research, the appendices of which detailed:

·         A list of existing activities, due to take place during London 2012

·         A comprehensive list of Universities and Colleges with sports science departments (accompanied by a map of the UK showing the geographic spread) and a colour coded key which details:

o        Large sports science departments (or a significant part of the University’s offering).

o        Universities with sports science departments/courses

o        FE colleges offering sports science (i.e. coaching qualifications, HND, BSc top ups)

o        No sports science department but a department focused on children’s health and nutrition.

We have now placed these two appendices into a  document for your information.

Hope it will prove useful!

Best wishes

Becky
