Just in case anyone wondered, as I did:

Start End Fee
28 Jan 2012 Oct 2012 £1310.00

Looks like a bargain, even if it is a funny number.

Subject: [PSCI-COM] Communicating science in the information age

Communicating science in the information age
(http://www3.open.ac.uk/courses/sh804-podcastcourse)

Anyone with an interest in how and why we communicate science will benefit
from this postgraduate science course, which is a component course for the
MSc in Science and Society
(http://www3.open.ac.uk/study/postgraduate/qualification/f48.htm). Using
case studies and articles, you’ll consider how science is communicated in
different settings and genres, through a range of oral, print and digital
media, and what frameworks and methods have been proposed for studying these
communications. You’ll explore how scientists communicate with each other
and look at the role of public engagement activities, science museums,
popular science books, science theatre, television documentaries and
newspapers in representing the sciences.

Registration is open until 10th January 2012. The course starts in February
2012.
