Dear all The complete catalogue of the Charles Close Society Archives is now available on-line on the Janus website of Cambridge University - the link for Janus is http://janus.lib.cam.ac.uk/ for Janus and the direct link to the CCS Archives page is http://janus.lib.cam.ac.uk/db/node.xsp?id=EAD%2FGBR%2F3296 This replaces the original listing on the Access to Archives (A2A) catalogue, which is still there but which will no longer be updated. The Archives contain documentary and printed material dealing with cartographic matters of relevance to the Ordnance Surveys of both Great Britain and Ireland. The Archives also contain a few maps - including some proof maps - but there is no desire to duplicate the large map holdings of Cambridge University Library Map Department in whose care the Archives rest. Full details of the Archives, links and searching tips can be found on the Archives page of the CCS website at http://www.charlesclosesociety.org/archives The catalogue on Janus will be kept up-to-date as new materials are added to the Archive.
