Dear Anthropologists,

I am contacting you on behalf of Popular Anthropology Magazine, an
online publication now accepting manuscripts for the 2012 issue. Our
goal is to publish articles from scholars within academia that will
inform, educate, and inspire the public, and we encourage
undergraduates, graduate students, doctoral candidates, and
professionals to submit.

Unlike other publications, Popular Anthropology is geared towards a
general audience, and will give you an opportunity to share your
research with a large public readership. Articles can range anywhere
from 1,500-7,000 words, and can be from any sub-field of anthropology.
Since many readers are non-specialists, authors are expected to change
their writing styles accordingly.

The submission process and writing guidelines can be found on our
website at We hope to have your articles submitted by
November 30th for next year’s issue.

We look forward to receiving your submissions,

Matthew Magnani
