Dear Chao,

Beamforming is a good method to look at oscillatory activity (a.k.a.
induced power or induced responses). It's not so good for looking at
evoked responses which is what the original data in the tutorial
mostly contains. For that the SPM MSP source reconstruction is clearly
better.
