Advances in Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities is a vital and pioneering source of information and research on the mental health needs of people with intellectual/learning disabilities.

The Journal integrates current research with practice and keeps professionals and researchers up to date with a variety of different perspectives on developments within the field.

Scope and coverage
Each issue contains comprehensive features addressing subjects of contemporary significance for the mental health needs of people with intellectual disabilities, including:
* policy and its implications in practice
* clinical case studies, enabling professionals to learn from the experience of others and improve their practice
* research reports
* developments in service design and delivery
* news and resources.

It supports high-quality research and the delivery of evidence-based practice to people with intellectual/learning disabilities who have additional mental health needs and debates current issues and opinions.

Papers should be between 3,000 and 5,000 words in length and research papers will undergo double blind peer review.
