medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Louis Grodecki (Le Vitrail Roman) dates c.1145. Neither Suger nor any other early author con firms the presence at St Denis of a window dedicated to St Benedict. There was a chapel in the crypt dedicated to him, consecrated in 1144. I, Paris, CNRS, 1976.(Corpus Vitrearum France, Série Etudes, Volume I).
