Dear Stephen and AACORNERS This is great news and what a beautiful city and part of the UK to play host. My husband John is from Yorkshire so he is equally excited and already planning his trip to the Dales. I remember there was an idea flagged for a whole of conference collaborative process and I would like to encourage and be part of that - a creative community building engagement/process would be a great way to kick off and possibly run throughout the conference. For example there was some discussion about a collaborative painting and of course there will be others. I think Daved Barry may have initiated that conversation originally. This year we will have a theme Creativity and Critique, but as usual the conference is open to all types of work and it is not compulsory to address the theme - what's important is that we share the work we're doing. The call has two deadlines; if you want to propose a stream, workshop, special event, performance or exhibition please let us know by July 31st 2011. We will give a quick decision. Abstracts for papers etc should be with us by November 30th 2011. Many thanks to those members of AACORN that have advised in the preparation of the conference.
