Dear All,
 
I was rather alarmed to hear that the ConDem government is thinking of scrapping the Equalities Act as part of their cutting 'red tape challenge'. I know the Act isn't perfect, however, describing the legislation which is in place to ensure that everyone within society has equality of opportunity, and is protected against discrimination as 'red tape' leaves me almost lost for words.
