The Physiological Society’s role is to promote and advance the science of life. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to take an active role in developing and implementing our media and communications work, including taking a lead in the development of our web-based communications.
The Physiological Society is a registered charity and learned society that was founded in 1876 by Charles Darwin and TH Huxley, amongst others, to promote scientific research and the teaching and study of Physiology.
The successful applicant will review and deliver public relations strategies to publicise The Society and its Journals. They will need to generate communications programmes that are exciting, well executed and help drive forward The Society’s objectives. The successful applicant will also take an active role in re-launching the Society’s website over the next 12 months.
Candidates will have proven media relations experience, strong scientific communication skills and experience of web-based media and editing of web-sites would be desirable. Although based in London, the candidate will also have to interact closely with our publications office in Cambridge.
