GIS Technician - London - £Neg - 6 Months but will be long term Job Description - GIS Technician required to work within a GIS team and support projects in the form of creating GIS maps, data, analysis and related services. This position would suit a newly qualified graduate who has the required GIS software knowledge and experience. Main tasks would include: Preparation of GIS data which includes performing quality assurance and checking where required on all information. Production of controlled drawings / GIS maps for internal and external issue and will include engineering and survey based information. Provide data input for the provision of technical reports Maintenance and data management of project GIS database. Undertake other adhoc projects and tasks as requested by management Help in generating marketing materials (presentations, posters, etc.). Qualifications: A GIS or Geosciences graduate Required skills: Hands on experience on Esri ArcGIS software and AutoCAD. Good understanding of data management Good understanding of geometry and geographical data types Strong team and inter-personal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skill required.
