On another note...

I found a book of mine (under another name) available on a file share application, and complained.  It was taken down immediately, as were those of others who also complained, so sometimes it's worth the effort.

In USA you can register your title with Library of Congress and they are supposed to "police" it -
hence works of dadaji are registered (which are in this collection)  - but mainly as a way of preventing publication ie AMOOKOS from reprinting them : ) such as they are.
But there again the LOC notice stipulates that they are royalty free - hence no fee is due - so not sure of the point?

Many of the works listed are public domain, out of print or only available in expensive reprints. I'm not justifying any of this but the received
wisdom in the trade re Digital Rights Management is to make sure you have a standard edition in print, or an ebook edition at a reasonable price -
with this in place then these collections make very little difference to paper book sales and may even increase them.

PS: several of our own books have been pirated this way over the years, often with malicious intent, but it takes more time
and energy than anyone has available to make any impact on their circulation . . .

indeed, the seller is located in Lancashire, UK apparently, so come under UK copyright law- that they mention 'federal law' indicates they are reselling somethign they have bought from the US

If you faithfully believe you are the rights holder of any of my Occult programmes, please provide extensive legal documentation showing your ownership. Any lawsuit for copyright infringement needs to be brought about by the real parties in interest (the actual copyright holder or assignee), not somebody else on their behalf. Without a federally registered copyright (which automatically would carry a presumption of validity), the burden of proof is on the person bringing the lawsuit to prove that they own a valid copyright for the work....And then with discussion with Ebay I will withdraw any item in question. The contents of these DVD's are offered for informative and educational use.
