The University of Oxford Clinical Trial Service Unit & Epidemiological Studies Unit (CTSU) is one of the world's leading centres for research into the causes, prevention and treatment of chronic diseases (such as heart disease and cancer).  In heart disease, the CTSU has conducted several highly successful randomised controlled trials and collaborative meta-analyses of trials that have substantially influenced worldwide clinical practice. We are seeking to recruit a medical statistician to join a team of statisticians and clinical epidemiologists working on a range of large clinical trials and epidemiological studies done within the CTSU's Renal Studies and Heart Studies groups.  A degree in statistics (plus an MSc, PhD or equivalent) and experience of statistical analysis, preferably in SAS, R/S-PLUS or Stata are essential.

The appointment will be for two years in the first instance. The salary offered for a full-time appointment to this job will be in the range £28,983 - £35,646 pa (Academic Related Staff Grade 7), depending on qualifications and experience.
