It does indeed depend on your LMS. Unfortunately Talis users are unable
to do global updates on URLs, so I'm afraid the bad news is that Ian is
right (as I believe Portsmouth are another Talis customer). Like Ian and
his colleagues, we will need to manually edit catalogue records if we
want to change URLs - or possibly review whether e-journal links should
be included in the catalogue at all, which is a whole other interesting
question.

Best wishes,
Frances

Depending on your ILS, you can do a global update of the URLs that is
quick and painless.

Does anyone else out there share our dismay at the prospect of manually
changing hundreds (nay, thousands) of URLs in our catalogue as a result
of Wiley's shift to their new platform? Other suppliers seem to be able
to change platform without requiring each subscribing library to do this
work, so why not Wiley? Our spend with them is far from insignificant.

Or maybe I'm misunderstanding the situation and there is a way to do
this as a batch process? If so, I'd be delighted to have my ignorance
remedied...

Ian
