Hello, Sorry to butt in, but for those of you who might not know, the high performing well-rated and respected Philosophy Dept in Middlesex is being closed! Whether this is a local political situation institutionally or whether it is just a sign of our anti-intellectual times in universities, it seems to be a travesty -not least because it has such a decent track record understanding and exploring the interstices between philosophy and contemporary art (sic. words and images among other relationships) So if you are so inclined, please sign the petition to 'save' the dept here: http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/save-middlesex-philosophy.html And please circulate to anyone you think might want to know who doesn't yet.
