CALL – Higher Education with Social Media

This volume will include chapters on teaching and learning with social media as well as their use for other functions in higher educational institutions.  Social media include Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, blogs, virtual worlds such as Second Life, YouTube, vlogs, etc.  Of course, I imagine that Aacorners might be creatively and artfully leveraging such cutting-edge media in the most exciting ways! Chapter length can be vary, though chapters of roughly 6000 to 12000 words in length are expected.

Schedule of due dates:

February 28, 2010:  Proposals/bios sent to [log in to unmask]

May 1,  2010: first drafts.

June 7, 2010: revised drafts.

August 2010: publication anticipated.

Chapter proposals should be at least 100. They should be accompanied by brief biographies for EACH of the chapter authors, which should include: current institutional affiliation and position, contact information (email, phone, and ideally mobile and Skype).  If you are on LinkedIn add the editor using [log in to unmask] and include your LinkedIn profile url. Chapters will undergo several rigorous reviews.
