Here in Herts we don't regard DBAs or EIAs as events in themselves, as they are compilations, using secondary sources. If in the process some geophysics is done, or someone goes out and has a look at the surviving buildings, or whatever, these activities are, of course, events and can (and should) be treated as such. It's always worked, so far.
