Hi Liz,

Would these be after school or during the school day? I might be able to help. I'm in Newcastle under Lyme. I teach the entry level business Chinese at St. Joseph's College, with great results.

Hi Sara,

Long time no see! Having fun with GTP? ;-)

You may wish to try AQA Entry Level Certificate course - awarded Entry 1, 2 and 3 according to total marks gained, assigned with NC level 1, 2 and 3.

AQA's Foundation Level Certificate course - awarded NC level 4, 5 and 6.

You can then take your pupils to GCSE.

Attached a PPT for details or find more details from the link: http://web.aqa.org.uk/qual/chinese_new.php

Have a wonderful time over Christmas!

Linked to this, does anyone have any tests to enable assessment against NC levels?

Other language textbooks often include NC level tests, but I haven’t seen any for Chinese. Have you?

We are using Easy Steps to Chinese at our school, and will have to develop some, which I will be happy to share…

All the best

Hi Chris and any other interested teachers,

Found the following website that lists attainment levels:
