Dear all,

SAAS Contact and SLC

Phoning SAAS

We've been made aware that students were getting charged national rates to get in touch with the Students Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS). We've spoken to SAAS and they are more than happy for this number to be advertised:

0131 476 8212

Changed Circumstances and Reassessment

Further more, some students have been led to believe that they cannot have their situation re-assessed if their circumstances have changed. For instance, they may have used P60's for their parents who have then gone on to lose or change jobs. SAAS has confirmed that if they are in this situation they can request for their entitlement to be re-assessed.

Delays

SAAS have processed 99.3% of all applications which they have received, and currently working on a 2 day turn around. However delay's may still occur at the Student Loans Company end or while confirming students details with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). If you have students in this situation it would be very useful if you could let us know.
