Dear all,

Please can you bring this volunteer role to the attention of anyone you think might be interested:

Role Description: Museum Archive and Records Centre Volunteer

An opportunity has arisen for a volunteer placement in the National Maritime Museum Archive and Records Centre (MARC). The Records Management department is an administrative function within the museum and therefore this will not be a public facing role, nor will it be dealing with naval records.

The work will benefit the museum by providing easier access to the Museum records for staff, in particular for administrative records from the periods 1971 - 1989, as well as the personal papers of notable staff members.

The successful candidate(s) will have the opportunity to develop their interest and experience of working in an archive and records management environment in the public sector.

Full training in the role will be provided.
