Dear SPMers, Is anyone able to advise on the following repost? I gather from the list that it's an orientation problem, but I don't have access to the raw or pre-processed data files anymore. I only have the first level analysis output files. Is there anything I can do to convert the old model files to make their orientation compatible with the new full data sets? Thank-you :-) Rachel *********************************************** Dr Rachel Mitchell, Lecturer in Psychology, Durham University Honorary Senior Research Fellow, Institute of Psychiatry, KCL Governor, Tees Esk & Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust Correspondence: Dept. of Psychology,Durham University,Science Site,South Road,Durham. Sent: Tue 16/06/2009 10:06 To: SPM Subject: Orientations Dear SPM experts, I have some data sets analysed with SPM5 that I need to compare in a 2nd level analysis with some data analysed more recently with SPM8. As others have experienced, I got the following error message.... Failed 'Factorial design specification' Error using ==> spm_check_orientations at 47 The orientations etc must be identical for this procedure. In file "C:\Program Files\spm8\spm_check_orientations.m" (v1143), function "spm_check_orientations" at line 47. In file "C:\Program Files\spm8\config\spm_run_factorial_design.m" (v3067), function "spm_run_factorial_design" at line 694. The entries for the recent data sets are listed in matlab as... [-3 0 0 81; 0 3 0 -115; 0 0 3 -53] G:\Work\Incongruity\MG\parametric stroop\artrepair\con_0001.img The entries for the old data sets are listed as... [-3 0 0 81; 0 3 0 -114; 0 0 3 -54] G:\Work\Incongruity\DF\parametric\con_0001.img The problem is that I don't have access to the original image files to go back and process the old data sets again from spatial pre-processing onwards. I only have the first level analysis output files. Is there anything I can do to convert the old model files to make their orientation compatible with the new full data sets? Your guidance would be much appreciated best wishes and thanks Rachel *********************************************** Dr Rachel Mitchell, Lecturer in Psychology, Durham University Honorary Senior Research Fellow, Institute of Psychiatry, KCL Governor, Tees Esk & Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust Correspondence: Dept. of Psychology,Durham University,Science Site,South Road,Durham.
