I'm disabled and researching disability.  Maybe I'm in the minority
here as Miles suggests but I don't feel that I am. Of course, I could
be suffering from false consciousness...

There has been a short period where individuals, academics and others that read the disability research information debated the relevance or not of research that did not reflect the voices of disabled people themselves. The whole point is that many disabled people belong or have a connection to helpful organisations.
