Unilever Archives and Records Management team?


This is an exciting opportunity for two enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to apply for our annual Archives and Records Management posts.  You will either be a graduate/about to graduate who is interested in pursuing a career in archives and/or records management, or intending to continue your studies on one of the post-graduate archive/records management courses

The archive/record assistants undertake a wide range of archival and records management duties in support of the professional staff.  These duties include inputting data into the archive and records management databases, conservation of collections, answering a wide range of enquiries, assisting researchers, promotion of the archive and records management services, and taking part in projects such as surveying record keeping systems.  General clerical and administration work is also part of the job.  For this reason it is essential that you have excellent communication and organisational skills.  A strong working knowledge of Windows based software is essential, as is the ability to work alone or as part of a team. 

A reasonable level of fitness is also required.
 
The positions will start in July/August and run for approximately one year.  As these are temporary posts the successful candidates will be required to register with Unilever's preferred agency.

Salary £16,000
