Hello SPM gurus, I face a problem when going through the EEG tutorial for spm8b. After I've converted, montaged, epoched, downsampled, filtered, and remove artifacts from the data (ie, up through 12.8 in the manual), the data either does not average correctly or averages right but does not display correctly. When I select the afdeM* file after clicking average, I get the following error messages (though the progress bar goes by quickly, the gui pops up, and the mafdeM* file is written): SPM8b: spm_eeg_average (v$Rev: 2715 $) 11:53:15 - 15/03/2009 ======================================================================= Warning: afdeMspm8_example.mat: No trials for trial type 115tandard: No trials for trial type > In spm_eeg_average at 129 Warning: afdeMspm8_example.mat: No trials for trial type 114are: No trials for trial type > In spm_eeg_average at 129 mafdeMspm8_example.mat: Number of replications per contrast: average standard: 0 trials, average rare: 0 trials And when I try to look at the trials in the gui I get the following errors: ??? Error using ==> axes Values must be monotonically increasing. Error in ==> spm_DisplayTimeSeries at 254 ud.v.handles.axes = axes('parent',hp,'position',pos1,... Error in ==> spm_eeg_review_callbacks>updateDisp at 884 ud = spm_DisplayTimeSeries(D.data.y(:,:,trN(1))',options); Error in ==> spm_eeg_review_callbacks at 631 updateDisp(D,1) ??? Error using ==> spm_eeg_review_callbacks('select','switch') Error using ==> axes Values must be monotonically increasing. ??? Error while evaluating uicontrol Callback The gui tells me there are now 2 trials, each of which is a average of 0 events. I've gone through the tutorial up to this point a few time to make sure I didn't misread any of the instructions. Any ideas for what's wrong? Thanks in advance! David Ruhl
