italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies

AHRC DOCTORAL STUDENTSHIP IN ITALIAN AT THE UNIVERSITY OF LEEDS

 

For 2009 entry, the Department of Italian in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures, University of Leeds, is offering a Doctoral (PhD) Award, normally for up to three years of full-time study or up to five years of part-time study, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council's Block Grant Partnership (BGP). The studentships cover tuition fees (standard UK/EU rate) and (for UK applicants only) maintenance. In addition, the University is offering two research scholarships within the two Faculties of Arts and Performing and Visual Arts and Cultures, preferably for students whose projects have an interdisciplinary theme or are related to the designated 'strategic themes' of the AHRC, namely

·         innovation in the knowledge economy

·         global threats to security, including the Religion and Society programme

·         capitalizing on our cultural assets
