Dear Duncan,

You are absolutely right. I feel like an idiot!!! I have installed the FEDORA 10 32bit version. Now, reinstalling the 64bit version I can work with fsl with only one problem of fslview. When I hit the soft button in GUI it gives me in the terminal the following error message:

/usr/local/fsl/bin/fslview_bin: error while loading shared libraries: libexpat.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Any help would be highly appreciated. And a last question about the number of cpu's that bedpost is using. I notice that although I have a quad intel Q9550 2.8GHz only one of the CPUs is working 100% and the others 0%, 0% and 4-5%, respectively. Do you thing that a faster CPU like E8600 3,33GHz would reduce the Bedpost proccessing time?
Thank you for your support.

Nick

Well your file looks correct, however on my test system I get a list of libraries which fslwish8.4 is linked to when running ldd, rather than the 'not a dynamic executable' error that you get.
Having searched the archives of the FSL list, we have seen this before on a Fedora 8 system. Please check that:

uname -m

returns 'x86_64'. If it doesn't then you have installed the 32 bit version of Fedora and thus need to install the centos5_32 distribution (or preferably, re-install the 64 bit version).

I don't get this on our test system. Could you send the output of:

md5sum -b /usr/local/fsl/extras/bin/fslwish8.4

Dear Duncan,
Thank you for your help. The output of
ldd /usr/local/fsl/extras/bin/fslwish8.4 is:  " not a dynamic
executable "
and file /usr/local/fsl/extras/bin/fslwish8.4 is:
" /usr/local/fsl/extras/bin/fslwish8.4: ELF 64-bit LSB executable,
x86-64, version 1 (SYSV),
dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.9, not
stripped"

Best regards
