Dear all,

It's my pleasure to invite you all to a unique one day free conference in London. This conference will include a range of debate and information about Disabled Peoples Organisations (DPOs).  It is targeted at all those involved in DPOs, as employees, users, trustees, directors and supporters.  The conference will look at current challenges and future opportunities facing DPOs as well as providing a range of information and activities.

Title of the conference: Disabled Peoples Organisations - A Force for Change

Date and Venue: Saturday 9th May 2009 11 - 5pm at Coin Street Centre, 108 Stamford Street, London SE1.

Themes will include;

-DPO Histories
-Values, skills and issues facing DPOs
-Individual budgets and personalisation
-Human rights, equality and diversity
-Current campaigns
-Future opportunities and risks for DPOs

Plus a range of information, advice and capacity building resources. Agenda to follow shortly, travel & access bursaries available. Two further events will also be organised later in the year outside of London.
