Hi Sue, Page 64 of The Green Book states 'poor responses are mostly associated with age over 40 years, smoking and obesity (Roome et al, 1993) and if you 'google' Hep B and MS, you'll find some research carried out in 2004, although this is not cited in The Green Book. As previously stated, I also attend the course in Stockport which urged practitioners never to re-start a course of Hep B but to continue. If it were me, I would most likely check for markers and if clear, consider whether re-vaccination is really necessary by risk assessment and provide BBV PPE advice, clearly documented. Would those of you that do hep b's persist and try to complete a course? Did I read somwhere that the efficacy of the hep b vaccine is reduced as one gets older and does anyone have information regarding the link to MS? Thanks again for your help Sue.
