NEW OBJECT LESSONS: CURATING FOR 2012 is open to anyone involved

- in the heritage + cultural sector
- in the organisation of cultural celebrations such as the Chinese New Year, International Women's Week, Local + Community History Month, DARWIN 200, National Science + Engineering Week, Museums & Galleries Month, Architecture Week and Black History Month

Previously presented as a workshop titled From Slavery to the Olympics, NEW OBJECT LESSONS: CURATING FOR 2012 will explore a unique range of resources and content revealing connections between themes addressed as part of the Bicentenary of the Abolition of the Transatlantic Slave Trade and the history of the Olympic Games.

Facilitated by Local Historian Dominique Tessier, this workshop will show participants how to develop sustainable cross-cultural content aimed at all audiences, as well as project ideas for all budgets.
