The Academy is recruiting a Grants Officer to work on a new programme that aims to support the next generation of outstanding young researchers and clinicians.

The Academy has entered into a partnership with The Wellcome Trust to develop and award a number of prestigious research grants. The Grants Officer will play a key role in coordinating the award process, as well as contributing to the wider development of the funding scheme and to other activities within the department.

The role provides an opportunity to work with the Academy’s distinguished Fellows, The Wellcome Trust and many other external organizations and institutions directly involved in medical research.

Ideally, you will hold a degree in the biomedical sciences and have experience of working in a similar grant-making role.  A good understanding of UK health care sector and the ability to communicate comfortably with scientists and the medical profession at every level are key attributes. This full-time post will be based at the Academy’s office in central London and is offered at a salary range of 26,000 - 30,000.
