FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Royal Society of Medicine Press choose HighWire for online hosting The Royal Society of Medicine Press and Stanford University's HighWire Press are delighted to announce their new partnership for online journals publishing. Content from all 16 of the RSM Press journals will be live on HighWire's premier ePublishing platform by early May 2008, as RSM Press expands its HighWire presence. "HighWire's reputation is excellent, and they host an unrivalled selection of the world's leading medical journals. In addition, their platform provides the flexibility and stability required for ePublishing in the current climate," says Peter Richardson, the Managing Director of RSM Press. "We have been working with the HighWire team for many years on the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine, and they were the natural choice when we decided to consolidate our online journals onto a single platform." A key benefit of the new HighWire partnership is easier access to the RSM Press eJournals Collection, which offers institutions the opportunity to subscribe to all RSM Press journals at a special collection rate. Covering a wide range of topics from sexual health to tropical medicine, and from telemedicine to health policy, the RSM Press eJournals Collection is part of a range of new purchasing and licensing options available from RSM Press. "We see many ways in which HighWire can help RSM Press with their goals to promote their prestigious branding," said John Sack, Director of HighWire Press. "HighWire's new platform, H2O, will provide them with the technical expertise and flexibility to layer new services on to their online presence into the future." Included on the new RSM platform are two journals which have never been online before: Journal of Integrated Care Pathways and Journal of Medical Biography. Each journal will be available with three years of back content from launch, and access will be free to existing print subscribers and eJournals Collection customers.
