The Journal of Industrial Ecology invites you to submit articles for a special issue on Applications of Material Flow Analysis (MFA) by September 1, 2008. Ester van der Voet, of the Institute of Environmental Sciences (CML) at Leiden University, and Claudia Binder, of the Department of Geography, Division of Social and Industrial Ecology at the University of Zurich, will serve as co-editors of the special issue.

The Journal of Industrial Ecology is a peer-reviewed international journal owned by Yale University, published by Wiley-Blackwell and headquartered at the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies.
Support for this special issue is provided by the U.S. National Science Foundation and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Suggested Topics for the Special Issue
The goal of this special issue is to document how, when and where MFA has been used for business, policy and related decision making and to assess the strengths and weaknesses of MFA for those purposes using concrete examples.

How to Submit
Manuscripts should be original, previously unpublished, in English, and between 3,500 and 7,000 words in length. Submission implies that the manuscript has not been submitted for publication elsewhere. Papers should be submitted electronically via Manuscript Central at <>.
