See the link below to a Washington Post article summarising new research about the scale of reductions required to halt climate change - a virtual halt altogether by mid-century. In the linked article, there is an amusing analogy - it is like setting off from Washington to San Francisco. Most of the current policy discussion is about which street we are going to park in when we get there.
