BCS/RSI Joint Lecture - 1 April 2008

 

"Information and Communication Technology in the Public Sector:  Transformational or Another Unaffordable Expense?"

 

Brigadier Philip Davies MA FBCS CITP FIET

 

 

Booking has now opened for the joint annual British Computer Society/Royal Signals Institution Lecture to be held on Tuesday 1 April 2008, 6pm for 6.40pm lecture.

 

Brigadier Davies is seconded to BT through Defence Career Partnering.  He is leading a bid team in the Local Government business unit and in doing so has been exposed to other ICT programmes in joint ventures and where Local Government has developed strategic supplier relationships with industry.

 

The lecture will be held in the unique surroundings of HQS Wellington, Temple Stairs, Victoria Embankment, London, the floating Livery Hall of the Honourable Company of Master Mariners.

 

The event will commence with registration and refreshments from 6pm, followed by the lecture at 6.40pm.  Wine and canapés will be available after the lecture and we expect to close around 8.30pm.

 

The lecture if free of charge to attend and open to members and their guests.
