Researchers in Residence Project Manager - maternity cover

 

The Researchers in Residence team are seeking a motivated individual to
provide maternity cover for the post of Project Manager.  The post will
be based at the University of Edinburgh.

 

Sharing the vision for the RCUK/Wellcome Trust funded Researchers in
Residence (RinR) scheme; you will be responsible for the strategic
project management of the RinR scheme, leading all aspects of the scheme
across the UK so that the project develops in line with its contractual
aims and objectives.  Being an excellent communicator you will ensure
the scheme is integrated with stakeholders at a regional and national
level and you will also be responsible for the co-ordination of the
network of RinR regional co-ordinators (covering nine regions across the
UK) working to achieving the full potential of the network and the
scheme.

 

Possessing a PhD or other relevant qualification/experience you will
have experience of working within the higher education/research/broader
educational sectors, particularly in the areas of research communication
training, supporting researchers in engaging with young people and
encouraging young people/schools to engage with research. With strong
interpersonal skills you will be able to establish and maintain
partnerships, manage people effectively and have proven experience in
managing projects with multiple collaborators.
