Whilst I would be happy with 'Learning Advice' for a service name, it has been suggested in the past that it may be better not to have the word 'Advisor' in a Learning Development jobtitle as the teaching element of the post may then not be so obvious to students nor, importantly, to other members of staff who refer students on - notably academic staff.
Equally, if one wanted to make a case for such a post to be put on an Academic payscale , it has also been suggested that it may better if the word 'Tutor' features in the Jobtitle as opposed to 'Adviser'.
