medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture With the customary expression of regret for any untoward effects of cross-posting. For next summer's International Medieval Congress at Leeds (7.-10. July 2008), an already accepted session on Concepts of Courtesy and Chivalry could now use a third 20-minute, scholarly paper focusing on the meaning of either _corteisie_ or _chevalerie_ in a medieval context. A good paper on the later reception or understanding of one of these terms as used medievally would also be acceptable. Proposals should be submitted via the Congress' online Paper Proposal Form, available at: http://imc.leeds.ac.uk/imcapp/Submit/PaperProposalForm.jsp Abstracts should be headed by a note indicating that this is for Session 2510 (Concepts of Courtesy and Chivalry). Proposals arriving within the next two weeks will receive first consideration. General information about the Congress is available at its website: http://www.leeds.ac.uk/ims/imc/index.html Please feel free to reproduce this notice and to distribute it in other channels as appropriate.
