It was complemented by a series of talks and a cataloguing/collecting project. You can find more information here: http://www.vam.ac.uk/collections/contemporary/day_record/nails/index.php You might also like to look at the work of artist Sonia Boyce. Her work explores issues of race, ethnicity and stereotype through many media. I'm pretty sure she produced a photographic series on 'black blondes' and certainly created pieces from collected black hair for her show 'Do you want to touch?'. There is more information about her on the INiVA website: http://www.iniva.org/library/archive/people/b/boyce_sonia Hope this helps Gail =============================== Gail Cameron Curator The Women's Library London Metropolitan University Old Castle Street London E1 7NT Tel: +44 (0)20 7320 3511 Fax: +44 (0)20 7320 2333 www.thewomenslibrary.ac.uk =============================== Visit our current exhibition: What Women Want: stories from The Women's Library on until 15 September 2007.
