Archive & Records Management Trainee
1 year fixed term - 14, 600 + benefits				
The RSA is an independent, multi-disciplinary charity. Our aim is to encourage enterprise and promote sustainable economic and cultural progress for the benefit of all, with a programme covering areas such as enterprise, environment, education, communities and global citizenship. The RSA has a Fellowship of 26,000 people from all walks of life, who contribute unique and diverse support to the Society's work.
The post is only suitable for a graduate wanting relevant experience prior to applying to study for a professional qualification in archives administration and records management at postgraduate level. You will focus on public service duties, and a substantial proportion of your time will be spent supervising the reading room and answering enquiries from the public and staff. However, there will also be an opportunity to participate in the full range of archives and records management work which we undertake. You will have a degree in any subject, clear communication skills and have intermediate working knowledge of IT packages. You must be flexible enough to work without supervision and as part of a small team.

Library & Information Management Trainee
1 year fixed term - 14, 600 + benefits					

The RSA library is housed in a recently designed space containing 6,000 volumes and serving RSA Fellows and staff. A formal training programme is provided introducing trainees to all aspects of work within the library and offering visits to other libraries and information services.

The post is only suitable for a graduate wanting library experience prior to studying librarianship and information science at post-graduate level. You will have a degree in any subject, clear communication skills and have intermediate working knowledge of IT packages. You must be flexible enough to work without supervision, as well as part of a small team.
