MLA London’s Preservation Audit Visit (PAV) programme, 2007–2008
Does your organisation hold publicly accessible museum, library, archive, photographic, film or video collections? If you are in the London region, you can apply now for a free, whole-collection preservation audit from a specialist consultant.
MLA London’s 2007-08 Preservation Audit Visit (PAV) programme draws on our four years’ experience of funding specialist consultant conservators to give on-site guidance to collection managers, to share good practice advice and to help identify and prioritise for action any physical threats or ways of working that might be putting collections at risk. MLA London selects, commissions and briefs the consultants and brokers the relationship between consultant and museum, library or archive.
Each member of the consultancy team has a high level of specialist expertise in either archive materials, books and other library materials, photographic collections, fine art/museum objects or moving image, including film, video and digital. They have extensive experience of working with collections of national significance and of acting as advisors to small organisations with low budgets.
Application for a PAV is through competitive process and the application deadline is Friday 20th July 2007
