Chemistry World is the award-winning monthly magazine for chemists, published by the Royal Society of Chemistry. As Deputy Editor, you will commission and edit articles for our daily news website, as well as taking responsibility for editing at least one of the sections of the magazine edition. Researching and writing news and features on topics related to chemical science, business or policy, you will also help to develop the skills of our in-house reporters, maintain relationships with freelancers and build up useful external contacts.

Interview date: 8 June 2007.

As well as sending us your CV and a covering letter that addresses the selection criteria, we would like you to provide a short statement, 300 words maximum, explaining your suitability for the job, together with at least two sample news stories you have written.
