medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

Gerallt Nash,

a few days ago someone here on the list named a font, which was colourful painted. It was a font somewhere in England, I think. Maybe someone on the list can remember it better than me.

I only got a german literature-hint. In St. Martini in Halberstadt there is a bronze font, which is richly ornamented and coloured (12th century). See: Tausend Jahre Taufen in Mitteldeutschland, Eine Ausstellung der Evangelischen Kirche der Kirchenprovinz Sachsen und des Kirchenkreises Magdeburg, Regensburg 2006, p. 247-249.
