Happy New, Everyone. If you need something to blow away the seasonal cobwebs
with an excellent networking experience - here's the ideal opportunity:

A year in the life of... the President

Date: Tuesday 9 January 2007
Time: 6.30 pm
Venue: The Sekforde Arms, Sekforde Street, London EC1
Speaker: Martin Molloy, CILIP President, 2006-2007

CILIP's ebullient President sees the information sector as key to making the
world a better place. For our first meeting of the year, he will entertain
us with his own take on Presidential life: insights into his activities,
including light-hearted reflections on the year so far.

Martin Molloy is CILIP's current President, with a personal focus on
advocacy, access and confidence-building. He has held several key
professional roles, leading to awards of The Library Association's Royal
Charter Centenary Medal and an OBE. Martin is Strategic Director of Cultural
and Community Services for Derbyshire County Council.

CILIP in London evening meetings are free and open to all with a
professional interest in the topic. Refreshments will be available
afterwards. As space is limited, please let us know if you are coming. It
would be helpful to tell us how you found out about the event. Contact
