Hi again Sensible answer - from what I can gather it is just because the RLS and night pain usually begins in the evening - presumably when the evening star appears in the sky ? Bit of a long shot - wondered if anyone can help us with this unusual enquiry: One of our doctors is doing a presentation on a condition known as "Vesper's curse" (a transient lumbar stenosis causing back pain which arouses the patient from sleep). The doctor wants to know who Vesper was, and what was the curse? We know that Vesper was a Greek god, but haven't been able to trace anything about a curse. Presumably it must be something to do with not being able to sleep, but our web searches haven't turned anything up. Anyone out there a whizz on mythology?
