The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography's 'life of the day' for 21 
February is King Harthacnut  [Hardecanute]  (c.1018-1042).  While not 
strictly a religious figure, the biography contains references to 
translation of relics, prophetic visions, grants to religious houses, 
simoniacal appointment of bishops and disputes with bishops; and may, 
therefore, be of some interest to some list members.  To access the
