This is a question for any HE institutions who subscribe to BioMed Central, the open access publisher. We are looking to subscribe to BioMed at the University of Plymouth and I want to find out how other universities fund the open access publishing part of the service. Does the library pay for membership? Does the individual researcher pay for each article they wish to publish? Does the faculty or school pay? Or does the university pay centrally, perhaps through a research office? Any feedback would be most welcome and I can summarise the results for the list. Please reply direct to me.
