*** APOLOGIES FOR CROSS-POSTING **** Latest news from the British Universities Film and Video Council Teachers' TV and Fourdocs win at Learning on Screen Awards The online and digital channel Teacher's TV and Channel 4's Fourdocs documentary website were the big winners at this year's Learning on Screen Awards. The Learning on Screen Awards celebrate and reward excellence in the production of effective learning material which employs moving image, sound and graphics. The Awards this year reflected the increasingly hybrid nature of moving image content for learning and teaching, as producers employ creative combinations of broadcast and online publishing to provide the content and the contextualisation that students need. The Awards were presented by Jonathan Hare (Hollywood Science, Rough Science) and Robert Llewellyn (Hollywood Science, Scrapheap Challenge, Red Dwarf) on 19 September at the Learning on Screen 2006 conference in Birmingham. The Awards are organised by the British Universities Film & Video Council. For full details of the Award winners, visit http://www.bufvc.ac.uk/learningonscreen.
