The South African Emergency Medicine (A&E) Training Program started in Cape Town from 2004. Their SpRs have been rotating out to Lancaster on a 3 mthly cycle. The Program Director would like to set up another rotation with a UK SpR Training Dept. By setting up these rotations the Cape Town rotation can fund another training post (funding is an problem there) and the UK dept gets an experienced (and motivated) member of staff whilst their own UK SpRs are on secondment. The UK dept has to pay the wage, accommodation and flight out. If you are interested in this for your own dept please contact me off list.
